Here is where your hearing will take place;

Social Security, Office of Disability Adjudication and Review
Office of Hearings & Appeals
4th Floor Duncan Federal Building
333 sw 2nd Avenue
Portland OR 97224

The "official" address is on 2nd Avenue but you'd better not drive on 2nd as there are two lanes of Max rail tracks there. The better practice is to travel on 2nd Avenue and park near Oak and 2nd.

There is a lot of street parking in that area and a few surface parking lots.

IF YOU HAVE A HANDICAPPED PLAQUE; You can park in any parking space for free.  BUT DON'T PARK in the 20 minute or less parking.  You will get a ticket.  If you drive around a bit you will find an empty parking space and you can thus park for free.

The building where the Social Security Court (ODAR) is located is a red brick ten story building at Oak and Second. You can enter it on 2nd Avenue.

Check in with the burley guards at the desk who will ask for your driver license and check against some list.  They will then give you an ID card and point you to the elevator.  Go to the 4th Floor.  Get off the elevator there and turn right.  Then turn right again and then turn right again.  A pretty but fit woman guard will ask you to empty your pockets and also wand you to see if you have any weapons.  Of course, don't bring ANY weapon into the federal building-not even a pocket knife.  The guard will ask you to stand with your arms spread out and facing her so he can run a wand near you to see if you have a weapon.  Then he'll ask you to turn around and he'll do it again.  (Even the lawyers have to be searched like this, even if they visit ODAR every day.)

I'll be there in the waiting room already or arrive shortly after you do and we'll talk in a private conference room and look at the file that the judge has read.  (or we'll meet in my Mobil Conference Room, the Grey RV with the sign on the side saying www.disabilitypaycheck.com  )  We'll have enough time to talk about final details before we go speak to the judge.
